As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and as a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA); I offer psychotherapy services to adolescents, adults (18+), and older adults in both English and Spanish in an online or in-person setting.
I completed a master’s degree in counseling psychology in Canada, building up on my medical background as an international medical doctor (IMD) with years of service as a psychiatrist and psychodynamic psychotherapist in Venezuela. I possess the knowledge and experience of working with a broad range of clients and mental health conditions in both community and private settings with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practice.
I use an integrative approach with insight-oriented and evidence-based modalities that better adapt and fit my client’s unique needs helping them get the most out of their therapy sessions.
As an immigrant myself, I also understand the struggles and barriers of immigration as well as the cultural nuances and dissonance that might be silently impacting your family dynamics and other areas of your life. Together we will find the tools and strategies that better fit your situation and needs to regain control of your own life.
I am eager and happy to offer the expertise from years of preparation and personal experience with a warm and caring nature.
I believe in an ongoing and life-long process of personal and professional growth and development as the only way to achieve excellence, offering my clients the best and newest resources.
