
Meagan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She completed her Undergraduate at the University of Guelph with a focus in Sociology as well as her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and has experience working with school-age children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Meagan is passionate about supporting individuals and families as they share their stories, navigate challenges, and celebrate their successes. She provides a safe and supportive environment where you can be open and express yourself freely. Through attentive listening, a nonjudgmental outlook and unconditional positive regard she aims to help you build on your innate strengths and capacities, achieve your goals, and live a life that feels most authentic to you.
Meagan provides services from a place of empathetic and trauma-informed awareness. She understands that all individuals and situations are unique and works collaboratively to tailor and develop a plan that will address your specific needs. With patience and understanding Meagan works with you to determine a pace that feels comfortable, empowering you to identify your needs and ensuring the best possible treatment is provided, creating lasting change.
Meagan implements an integrative approach drawing on a variety of modalities including narrative, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioural therapy as well as strength-based and trauma-informed approaches. She focuses on helping individuals and families with self-esteem, body-image, anxiety/stress management, depression, life transitions and communication/interpersonal relationship skills.
